EC-100 1RX Wideband Software Defined Radio

The EC-100 is a modern receive-only wideband software defined radio (SDR) M.2 Plugin Card that can support demanding security and connectivity tasks. This revolutionary SDR can receive frequencies up to 9 GHz, with a bandwidth of up to 800 MHz.
Featuring a 16-bit Analog-to-Digital (ADC) converter providing an exceptional dynamic range, the EC-100 can detect and decode very weak signals even in the presence of extreme interfering noise all in a standard M.2 2280 M-key form factor (the same form factor as an M.2 NVMe plugin card).
Applications
M.2 Form Factor
The standard M.2 2280 M-Key form factor makes it possible to use install the EC-100 radio into a variety of systems, from laptops, to desktops, to CCX Technologies edge routers like the AP-250, to custom carrier cards and other embedded platforms.
The x4 PCIe interface enables efficient high speed data transfers covering the full bandwidth of the radio. For systems that don't support x4 PCIe the radio can also run in an x1 PCIe mode with a reduced bandwidth.
The EC-100 FPGA contains additional DSP functionality that can be used for signal decoding and detecting, reducing the processor requirements when used in embedded systems.


Wide Bandwidth
The EC-100 can operate up to 9 GHz with a bandwidth up to 800MHz. The wide bandwidth makes it possible to quickly scan the entire supported bandwidth for signal detection, and makes it possible to decode multiple carriers in parallel with a single radio.

The wide bandwidth of the EC-100 can generate a significant amount of data, to aid in signal processing the integrated FPGA offers many DSP and decoding/detecting features. It is also possible to customize the FPGA with additional DSP blocks for specific applications.
Very High Dynamic Range
The EC-100 boasts an ADC resolution of 16 bits, a very high Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR), and a very low noise floor. This makes it possible to detect and receive weak signals from very distant source, even in the presence of interference.
The high dynamic range makes it possible for this radio to detect and decode signals from UAVs, mobile radios, and other RF emitting equipment from a very large distance. It also makes it suitable for many Radio Astronomy tasks.
The EC-100 includes an integrated Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO). This highly accurate clock input boasts low jitter and low wander assisting in the decoding a distant signals in a noisy environment.
