SystemX Advanced Routing

Advanced Routing

In addition to Device and User based routing applications SystemX also offers a complete set of fully configurable routing tools. Including an advanced stateful local firewall that can be used to limit access to services running on a SystemX system, multi-wan configuration and controls, a Policy Based Routing Firewall, and per port filters on network bridges.

SystemX PBR Router

Multi-WAN Switching

Traffic can routed through multiple connectivity providers and networks base on availability, link priority, and signal levels.

Multiple WAN groups can be defined for different data sources and uses and traffic from different routing firewalls and device managers can be routed through different WAN priority groups.

Policy Based Routing Firewall

SystemX’s routing firewall gives users the ability to create custom traffic routes between a source and destination interface, while evaluating traffic against a routing policy.

It can also be used to update QoS tags on IP packets forwarded to external terminals, so that specific traffic can flagged as higher priority for downstream radios.

Policy Based Routing Filter

Filters can be added to a route to block or allow packets based on their IP Address, MAC addresses, or packet protocol.

Filters can be used to white-list traffic, such that only packets from a trusted device will be routed, or to prioritize traffic routing to the most critical users.

Network Bridge Filters

Network Bridges provide a means to route traffic between different interfaces, VLANS, VPNS, etc.

Filters, similar to the filters used in the Policy Based Router, can be applied to network bridges, all traffic routed through the bridge through a specific interface will be evaluated against the filter and allowed or rejected depending on the defined policy.

SystemX Local Firewall

Local Firewall

All SystemX systems include a local stateful firewall that can be used to provide access to SystemX services. The firewall is configured with a default block policy, all services must have an explicitly defined Open Service in order to be accessible on a network.
