Secure voice on airplane

Secure Voice

Most SATCOM telephony links are not encrypted by default, including legacy voice channels on L-Band systems and more modern VoIP systems. Using a low cost software defined radio and antenna it is possible to intercept, record, or even interrupt calls transmitted over these systems.

SystemX Secure Voice is a fully encrypted VoIP (Voice over IP) system that can operate over all existing SATCOM links, including legacy 2400 baud L-Band Systems providing a reliable and secure communications to any remote systems.

Ensure all Conversations are Private

By utilizing a link encrypted with modern AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) based algorithms the CCX Technologies Secure Voice system ensures that sensitive passenger and flight crew communications can not be intercepted and recorded.

The system adds an additional encryption layer for all communication, and allows for all call routing to be terminated in a select home country.

Flexible Number Assignment

All calls are terminated at a SystemX Server which can connect to any commercial SIP Trunk vendor to provide access to the public telephone system. The same phone number or set of phone numbers can be used regardless of the SATCOM connectivity solution in use, with area codes from any regain on the world.

With the CCX Technologies Secure Voice system it is possible to assign a different number to every handset and handset group on an aircraft eliminating the need to confusing extension dialing for ground to air calls

Advanced PBX Features

The SystemX Secure Voice System includes a complete advanced PBX on the aircraft, and on the ground.

The system supports most SIP based VoIP handsets, including applications that can be installed on all modern smartphones. With a fully encrypted local link between handsets and the PBX (when supported by the handset) security can be ensured both on and off the aircraft.

Do-Not-Disturb Controls

The PBX includes features that make system management much easier for a flight crew like per handset, per handset group, and global do-not-disturb controls which can be controlled from a configuration GUI or even a from a switch that can be installed in the cabin.

Call Transfers and Conference Calls

Calls can be answered by specific flight crew personal and then transferred to any handset on the aircraft, or and auto-attendant can be configured with dialing lists that can be dynamically updated when specific handset are available.

The system also provides support for common conference calls and seat-to-seat calls, which can be used to facilitate communication between crew and passengers.

Supported Platforms

All CCX Technologies Secure Routers can support a Secure Voice PBX, including the AP-560 Micro-WAP.

The system requires a SystemX Ground Server to terminate all calls on the ground and provide access to the public telephone system, either running on systems provided by a popular cloud service, or on dedicated hardware.
