Cabin Routing

Cabin Networking

SystemX provides best-in-class Cabin Router features and performance that are unparalleled in both Commercial and Business Aviation.

In addition to offering advanced cabin router capabilities unavailable elsewhere, the CCX Technologies Secure Cabin Routers boast an impressively compact form factor, measuring just 5.25 by 4.7 by 2 inches - making them the smallest Cabin Routers on the market today.

Reliable Connectivity

Reliable Connectivity is the most critical feature for any Cabin Router, as passengers and flight crews rely on the system to maintain continuous connectivity throughout all phases of a flight.

By incorporating advanced SATCOM Terminal Management functionalities and high-performance WiFi Radios and Antennas, the SystemX Operating System and CCX Technologies Secure Router Hardware are engineered to deliver an exceptional user experience.

High-Performance WiFi Hardware

The CCX Technologies WiFi Radios, firmware, and antennas have been meticulously designed to ensure seamless WiFi Connectivity throughout the cabin. Features like dual, independent WiFi Radios and Antennas optimized for easy aircraft cabin installation ensure uncompromised signal strength and ways that won't impede signal quality.

Connectivity Monitor and Seamless Switching

The SystemX Operating System also includes comprehensive SATCOM System Management capabilities, enabling reliable connectivity through the effective utilization of redundant SATCOM systems on aircraft.

Device Management

Device Manager Dashboard

SystemX provides secure interfaces between connected Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) in the Cabin and the Internet via managed SATCOM terminals and integrated terrestrial radios (LTE and WiFi).

PED Internet connectivity can be managed using the SystemX Device Manager which provides tools that can be used to enforce per user data caps, restrict access to the system to specific pre-registered devices, and monitor devices currently connected to the router.

When connected to a SystemX Ground Server the Device Manager can also provide a per-device Proxy VPN. This makes it possible to create fleet-wide device management rules.

User Management

Most Cabin Routers are configured with shared WiFi SSIDs and passwords. The SystemX Operating System can be configured in this mode, or it can be configured with a User Manager where different users can be provided with different usernames and passwords.

Per-user login credentials makes it possible to track and limit connectivity usage for a specific user. When a User Manager is registered with a SystemX Server it is possible to manage user's fleet-wide, so that one user can use the same credentials and have usage monitored across multiple aircraft.

Policy Based Routing

Advanced network filters can be added to routing firewalls and network bridge ports which make it possible to block and allow traffic matching different criteria.

Specific network traffic can be routed to and from specific interfaces, WiFi Access Points, and connectivity solutions.

Application Hosting

The SystemX Operating System provides support for integrated secure containers so that service providers and fleet operators can create and deploy their own custom software.

SystemX also includes a secure, encrypted API so that software running in the containers, or as external apps can access state information and update system configuration on any CCX Technologies Secure Router. Using the API third-party applications can also create custom pages in the SystemX GUI so that Administrators can interact with these applications from a central location.

Third-party software can be developed using SystemX Development Kits .

Equipment Health Monitoring and Management

The SystemX Operating System provides several tools that can be used to monitor and record the state of attached SATCOM equipment . This state information can be logged locally, sent to health-monitoring systems, and used within the system for making connectivity provider selection decisions.

Remote Tech Support

All systems running the SystemX Operating System when connected to a SystemX Ground Server can be configured to provide remote access for providing Technical Support.

Remote support features make it possible for customer support personnel to quickly diagnose and address connectivity issues with SystemX equipment, or any other equipment connected to a network that includes SystemX equipment.
