AP-160 16-Port Switch

AP-160

The CCX Technologies AP-160 16-Port Switch is a compact and lightweight networking appliance that can simultaneously serve as an Ethernet Switch, a Cybersecurity Appliance, a Router, and an Applications Server in the most demanding environments.

The Switch provides line-speed switching for x12 2.5G/1G/100M/10M and x4 1G/100M/10M Ethernet Ports. It is the highest performance and smallest form-factor aviation and military grade 2.5G Ethernet Switch currently available on the market.

Software applications are provided by the integrated SystemX Operating System which includes dozens of networking, cybersecurity, data collection, configuration management, and application hosting features.

As a Transport Canada Approved Manufacturing Organization CCX Technologies can provide all documentation required to obtain the relevant certifications so that the AP-160 to be installed on any aircraft.

Applications

In addition to being a 16-port Managed Ethernet Switch the AP-160 is also a configurable multi-mission platform that is suitable for a multitude of different applications. With a complete version of the SystemX Operating System the AP-160 supports all of the networking, security, data collection and management, and application hosting features provided by SystemX.

Cabin Routing

The AP-160 is a feature complete world-class Cabin Router suitable for Business and Commercial Aviation.

As a cabin router the AP-160 can manage multiple SATCOM systems , routing cabin traffic based on availability and network state depending on system configuration. It can also be used to monitor the state of and to configure connected SATCOM terminals from a common GUI.

Device and User Managers can be used to manage user specific access to connectivity solutions and to monitor and limit access for individual devices or users.

The AP-160 contains an integrated SIP-based PBX that can be used to route voice calls within the cabin, or to external numbers over a fully encrypted trunk to a SystemX Server, and then on to the public telephone system. To simplify the user experience it is possible to configure multiple external phone numbers per cabin, so that each handset or set of handsets can have a unique number that is the same regardless of the connectivity solution in use.

Cybersecurity Appliance

The AP-160 can provide Cybersecurity features for IP and Databus based networks. The integrated Intrusion Detection Systems can monitor traffic for anomalies and generate alerts which can be presented to local and remote operators.

Traffic for the IDS can be collected from the Ethernet Interfaces, the WiFi Radios, the ARINC-429 Receivers, or from Databus recorders, like the CCX Technologies DataPHY Data Collection Pods.

The AP-160 has a next-generation stateful firewall and an Intrusion Prevention System that can be used to block and route IP traffics based on traffic contents or patterns.

The AP-160 also includes a Certificate Manager and Certificate Proxy that can be used to collect, create, verify, and distribute certificates across a system which can be used for encrypting data and verify the authenticity of software and configuration update files.

Application Hosting

The AP-160 is capable of hosting and managing third-party applications in secure containers. Applications can create custom pages in the SystemX GUI so that administrators can intact with these applications from a central location.

Applications can also make use of the integrated SystemX API to get access to all SystemX configuration settings, status info, and collected data.
