CCX Technologies Builds Cyber Security Dealer Network; Welcomes QAI Aerospace

The latest agreement authorizes QAI to sell, install and maintain
aviation’s first onboard cybersecurity-focused product portfolio.

OTTAWA, Ontario – October 5, 2021 – CCX Technologies continues to build its cyber security dealer network, signing a dealership agreement with Pittsburgh, PA-based QAI Aviation. This latest agreement authorizes QAI to sell, install and maintain CCX’s onboard actionable security and flight data product portfolio.

“With the aviation industry starting to understand the range of cyber threats to aircraft, our growing lineup of cyber security dealers is ready to help aircraft operators protect their onboard networks with customizable cyber security systems,” said Chris Bartlett, president of CCX Technologies. “We are delighted to have innovators like QAI Aviation join our growing team of cyber security dealers and anticipate working with them to deliver solutions engineered to fit their client’s specific needs. Owners or operators who install our solutions gain actionable insights to what’s really happening in-flight because the data is relayed directly from the aircraft’s onboard networks.”

CCX Technologies onboard offerings represent a paradigm shift in airborne cyber security because they are aviation’s first solutions installed on the aircraft. Operators can then monitor data sourced directly from the aircraft network. The onboard cybersecurity system empowers operators to improve their cyber security posture through actionable data. CCX Technologies also offers enhanced solutions through proprietary and customizable features or integrations.

“Our clients want onboard connectivity and are concerned about protecting their cabin and flight deck data,” said Robert Sieber, president of QAI Aviation. “The AP-250 enhances onboard Wi-Fi performance while also providing the highest level of cyber security possible. Combining these two functions into a single small package is forward-thinking and the kind of product we aim to bring to our clients. We’re enthusiastic about the ability to help empower our clients with actionable data through CCX Technologies Cybersecurity solutions.”

More About How CCX Technologies’ Cybersecurity Works, AP-250 and dataPHY devices

A typical system includes the AP-250 Cybersecurity Appliance, SystemX Secure Server, and a set of DataPHY devices to collect data from the network and securely transmit it to stakeholders. The AP-250 is designed with the latest technology and features two dual-band Wi-Fi radios with encryption and a ½ km range, plus a 1 TB Solid-state drive with all data encrypted at rest. Equipped with Advanced LTE and a custom antenna, the AP-250 enables higher throughput, lower power consumption, and better coverage so more users can connect. The dataPHY is a compact device that receives onboard avionics databus data such as ARINC 429 for advanced monitoring for anomalies and other flight-critical data events.
