As cybersecurity becomes an increasingly important consideration in defence procurement globally, CCX Technologies has taken a proactive approach to establishing a workplace culture that is resilient to many cyber threats.
CCX Technologies recently completed a self-assessment of the 110 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-171 security controls to comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification 2.0 (CMMC 2.0) Level 1 requirements.
CMMC 2.0 is a new program developed by the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD) to ensure that sensitive information shared with the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) is adequately protected from potential cyber vulnerabilities. Compliance with CMMC 2.0 is expected to be included as a mandatory criteria in select DoD contracts beginning as early as Q4 2024 or Q1 2025. Additionally, the Canadian Government has announced plans to establish its own cybersecurity certification program – Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CP-CSC) – which will mirror many of the same requirements as CMMC 2.0.
CCX Technologies is actively working towards qualifying for CMMC 2.0 Level 2, which requires a Third Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) to evaluate the cybersecurity posture of current IT systems/practices.
