AP-250 development kit allows defence contractors to configure, test and adjust cybersecurity systems in their own targeted environment
CCX Technologies today announced its AP-250 Inline Cybersecurity Appliance (AP-250) Development Kit. It plugs into development environments which allows developers to integrate cybersecurity into vehicles engaged in air, land, or sea missions. The Kit is based on CCX Technologies’ proven onboard cybersecurity software and hardware platform.
“We created this development kit to give defence contractors a convenient, commercial-grade cybersecurity platform that can be inserted into their development environment,” said Chris Bartlett, president of CCX Technologies. “Our goal is to arm defence contractors with the ability to deliver highly customized, mission-tailored, end-to-end cybersecurity solutions for the specific requirements of their specific vehicle. So, with developers in mind, the kit is built to fast-track product development and improve the cybersecurity posture of the end product. Developers will also have support from a dedicated CCX team to ensure optimized configuration and implementation are achieved. Once completed and tested, the final cybersecurity configuration and rules can be applied to an AP-250 production unit and deployed on the target mission vehicle — air, land or sea.”
About the AP-250 Development Kit
The kit is comprised of two AP-250 Inline Cybersecurity Appliances, and three, six or twelve months of support. This includes access to SystemX™ Server through a VM (Virtual Machine) or CCX Cloud Services, a set of keys providing API (Application Programming Interface), SSH (Secure Shell) access to the system, a cable package, and technical support for device configuration. SystemX, CCX’s cybersecurity software suite, incorporates industry-standard SNORT and Zeek (formerly Bro) network monitoring and analysis frameworks, and an integrated programmable log monitoring system. This gives defense developers the ability to write their own customized detection and monitoring rules and algorithms. Encrypted access to remote APIs for configuring and controlling the AP-250 devices is also part of the kit. Other features such as advanced Firewall, Policy Based Routing rules, data collection, and a vulnerability scanner are also included. In addition to onboard ethernet traffic, SystemX software will support ARINC 429/717, CAN Bus, and MIL-STD-1553.
